
Emily Wilkinson, a sixth-great-niece of Charlie Goodnight, has been singing with her dad Andy for over two decades and was one of the featured performers on the 1994 album Charlie Goodnight: His Life in Poetry and Song.
She is the director of the Museum of the Big Bend at Sul Ross in Alpine. Before that, she was the Public Art Director for the Texas Tech University System and earlier was the Helen DeVitt Jones Endowed Manager of Education for the National Ranching Heritage Center in Lubbock, Texas. She holds two master's degrees from Texas Tech University and a PhD in Higher Education Research.
Emily and her husband Justin Burrus have two daughters.
