Terry Nash was raised on a farm/ranch cow/calf operation on the High Plains of Colorado, near Idalia. In the late 1980s, he drifted to a small ranch near Loma, Colorado, where he and his wife Kathy raise horses, hay, and beef, and spend as much time on the mountain horseback as possible. Along with writing and reciting his original cowboy poems, Terry brings classic cowboy poetry to stages throughout the West, and has co-written a couple of songs.
Terry received the International Western Music Association 2018 "Male Poet of the Year" award, and his CD, A Good Ride won the 2018 Cowboy Poetry CD of the year at the IWMA annual convention. Some of his work is included in Four Aces and a Queen, a book of original cowboy poetry collected from Valerie Beard, Floyd Beard, Dale Page, Dennis Russell, and Terry.
