Jack George is 13 years old, and lives in Quemado, New Mexico, a very small ranching community where everyone knows each other. He was named after his grandfather, who was a horse trader and cowboy, and has grown up ranching, rodeoing and hunting. His parents grew up training horses, rodeoing, and hunting, and he was 18 months old when he participated in his first rodeo. You could say that the cowboy lifestyle is in his blood.
Jack said his first cowboy poem in kindergarten for the school declamation. Many of the poems he performs are poems that his grandfather loved and said when he was working with his horses. He says, "I look forward to building on this skill as I grow and mature, and to carrying on the cowboy heritage for future generations."
