Howdy friends!

If you're wishing you could hear some great cowboy music & poetry soon, with some Western swing thrown in for fun, think about coming to Lockhart, Texas, June 19-21.

Our friends at West7 are producing a Celebrating the West^SM Weekend in five venues around the Lockhart downtown square. You can hear:

• Matt Robertson, the 2026 Buck Ramsey Award winner from the Gathering, whose award was presented in Alpine;
• Sam Platts and the Windmill Hill Dance Band, popular at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering for the last 4 years;
• John Moore;
• Pipp Gillette and Lloyd Wright;
• and poets Dakota Robinson and Rusty Phillips.

A weekend pass (up to 7 shows) is only $98, or you can purchase tickets for individual shows.

To get you oriented: Lockhart is 33 miles from Austin, 32 miles from Bastrop, or 69 miles from San Antonio. It is east of I-35 at San Marcos, and is the official "Barbecue Capital of Texas." Hello Lockhart can fill you in about shopping, Lockhart State Park, barbecue, brunch options, and lodging.

Lone Star Cowboy Poetry Gathering is a lead sponsor, along with the Lockhart Initiative for Tourism and the Academy of Western Artists, and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Gathering.
