Our first film showcases poetry from Joel Nelson and music by Dale Burson, R.W. Hampton, Randy Huston, and Rod Taylor, all working cattlemen filmed on ranches in West Texas and New Mexico. Between songs and poems, the participants talk directly with each other or with filmmakers John and Erika Moore about horse training, becoming cowboys, horse wrecks, finding water, and living a life outdoors. He began writing at age 11 when confined with polio in 1951.
